Kids cardigans, knitted without wool
A cardigan is the piece that turns a summer dress into a school dress and a T-shirt into something warm enough for October. Ours are knitted from plant fibres, mostly cotton and never wool, so they can be worn straight against the skin, washed at home and passed on. They come in sizes from newborn 50 up to 176, for girls and boys alike.
Girls cardigans
The Girls White Cardigan goes over every occasion dress, and the two-colour knits, pink and black, pink and white and baby blue, pink and black, run from 104 to 164. Over one of our girls black dresses, a cardigan is what makes it work for winter.
Boys and unisex cardigans
The Everyday Cardigan in orange runs to 176, and The Hand-Embroidered Cardigan in grey, choco and mint and the Sandcastle Cardigan are cut for brothers and sisters alike.
Baby cardigans
For the smallest there is the Knitted Newborn Baby Cardigan in sizes 50 to 62, then baby cardigans from 68 to 92 in blue and orange, baby blue and pink and grey with hand embroidery. More knits for babies are in baby sweaters and cardigans. Every piece is vegan. GOTS-certified pieces are marked on the product page.
Frequently asked
Is there wool in your cardigans?
No. Our cardigans are knitted from plant fibres, mostly cotton; the exact yarn is on each product page. Our whole range is vegan, so there is no wool, mohair, cashmere or silk in any of them.
What sizes do your kids cardigans come in?
From newborn size 50 to 176 (about 16 years), depending on the style. Our sizes are heights in centimetres; the size guide shows which height matches which age.
Will a cotton cardigan be warm enough in winter?
As a layer, yes. A cotton knit over a long-sleeved top or a dress keeps a child warm indoors and under a coat, and it doesn't overheat in a heated classroom the way a thick wool jumper can.
How do I wash a knitted cardigan so it keeps its shape?
Wash cool, inside out, and dry it flat. Knitwear stretches if it is hung up wet. Each product page lists the care for that piece.
Should I size up for a cardigan?
A cardigan is often bought one size up so it fits over other layers and lasts longer. Our cut is slim and European, so if your child is between two sizes, take the larger one.
